This blog was created to inform the Anthony Wayne School District community of the truth behind why the School Board and top Administrators continue to want more money. This has NOTHING to do about the kids or even teachers. Educate yourself with the ODE audit findings and you will agree. More money is not the solution without fixing the major problems as identified in the ODE Performance Audit.

KIDS are actually doing better with cuts!
Did you know, according to the data provided in The Blade that student state scores have actually dramatically IMPROVED since the levies have failed and the cuts have been implemented? Yet if the levy passes, most cuts will be restored. Why?
I have lived in or near the AW School District all of my life(51 yrs). I did NOT just move into the AW area with hopes of selling my house and leaving when my children are grown as some have. I support the AWSD and look forward to having my Grandchildren attend. I am greatly concerned by the new leadership and their reluctance to make the financial decisions necessary to bring this once great school system back to where it should be. Your education of what is really happening to your school system should be a high priority. Don't just vote yes believing more money is the answer. It is not! Without fixing the REAL problems you will ONLY get MORE levies. Read the ODE audits. Call the ODE Auditor and talk to him regarding what the real issues are. You will NOT get all of the facts from the Superintendent and Board. Why? That's a very good question. I suggest you ask them.
